Skin Tan and Sex Drive

1.  Melanotan 2 Tanning Peptides
Melanotan 2 (also known as Melanotan II) is a synthetically produced variant of a peptide hormone naturally produced in our body that stimulates melanogenesis, which is responsible for the pigmentation of the skin. This peptide hormone, called alpha-Melanocyte stimulating hormone or MSH, activates certain melanocortin receptors in the process of exerting its effects. Indeed, MSH also brings out potent benefits of lipid metabolism, appetite, and sexual libido via these melanocortin receptors. Hence, Melanotan 2 has been shown in studies to exhibit appetite suppressant, lipolytic, and libido-enhancing effects in addition to promoting skin tanning. Melanotan 2 has been researched extensively to use in protecting against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation from sunlight because of its melanogenesis-stimulating features. 

Additionally, Melanotan 2(MT-2) and a similar synthetically produced variant, called PT-141, have been studied as a potential remedy for the treatment of sexual dysfunction; specifically, male erectile dysfunction.

2.  PT 141 Bremelanotide Peptides
PT-141 or Bremelanotide is used in helping to improve sexual dysfunction in both men and women, by men who want to bring back the fire into their sex life. PT-141 was derived from the tanning peptide Melanotan 2, which is a synthetically produced variant of a peptide hormone naturally produced in the body that stimulates melanogenesis that is known as an alpha-Melanocyte stimulating hormone. MSH activates certain melanocortin receptors in the process of exerting its effects. In addition, MSH also exerts a potent influence on lipid metabolism, appetite, and sexual libido. Resultantly, PT-141 has been shown in studies to exhibit libido-enhancing effects by activating the melanocortin receptors MC1R and MC4R, but not skin tanning. Melanotan 1 and Melanotan 2 have been researched for their use in protecting against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation from sunlight due to their melanogenesis-stimulating properties. It's noted that PT-141 improve both male and female sexual problems, so if you tend to improve your sex life and experience higher libido, or harder and stronger erections that last long, it can be a good choice you should take into consideration.
