What is Tesamorelin?

    Tesamorelin (TH9507), a peptide called growth hormone-releasing factor (GHRF), causes the production and diffusion of growth hormones in the body, which helps increasing metabolism, reducing belly fat, improving body shape, and using energy.

   Tesamorelin is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing factor, which stimulates the production of growth hormone by binding to receptors on the anterior pituitary cells, thereby affecting metabolism and body shape. Tesamorelin specifically targets fat accumulation in the abdominal area. Because this drug releases growth hormones, patients with active cancer should not take it. Clinical trials have shown that compared with the human growth hormone itself, Tesamorelin has a significant effect of reducing abdominal fat and has fewer side effects, but after Tesamorlein is discontinued, fat may rebound (depending on the individual). Studies have shown that Tesamorelin reduces lipodystrophy in HIV-infected individuals and reduces abdominal fat in NON-HIV-infected individuals.
